Refrigerant Fluids | R 1234yf

R 1234yf is a synthetic HFO refrigerant developed to be an alternative solution to R 134a for automotive air-conditioning applications. Its global warming potential (GWP) is ultra-low, with a rating of less than 5. Despite its mildly flammable nature, it can be considered safe to be used in MAC systems. R 1234yf is designed for new systems. It is slightly flammable and therefore is not suitable for retrofitting existing R 134a systems.
