The refrigerant R 1234yf is a synthetic HFO refrigerant developed to be a successor to the refrigerant R 134a in automotive air-conditioning applications. Its global warming potential is very low. Being as this is a slightly flammable gas, the retrofitting of existing systems using refrigerant R 134a is not recommended
