Tazzetti Fluids has recently extended its established operations for the recovery, collection and treatment of hazardous refrigerant waste, carried out at its proprietary authorised centre at Casale Monferrato (Alessandria), with a series of intermediate collection centres, authorised to temporarily store this type of waste.

These centres are distributed evenly throughout Italy to facilitate the collection and transfer of fluids towards the single, authorised Tazzetti Fluids treatment centre, where all incoming waste is analysed for identification and then sorted for regeneration and/or disposal.

This organisational structure is based on the outlines defined by the National Programme Agreement drawn up with the Ministry for the Environment and the Ministry of the Production, in accordance with the prescriptions of Laws 549/93 and 179/97, and the Ministerial Decree dated October 3, 2001 regarding the collection of refrigerant fluids and their handling as substances that are harmful to stratospheric ozone.

This extensive organisation enables Tazzetti Fluids to deliver its environmental services rapidly, effectively and with logistic efficiency. These services include:

• On-site reclamation of small, medium and large air conditioning/refrigeration systems with primary heat exchanger (halogenated refrigerant fluids, such as R 12, R 22, R 134a, R404A, R407C, R507A, etc, and/or anhydrous ammonia – R717) or secondary exchanger (solutions of ethyl – propyl glycol /alternative secondary refrigerants).
• Collection, regeneration and/or disposal of halogenated refrigerant waste (CFC, HCFC, HFC and lubricant oils used in the system), anhydrous ammonia, glycols and concentrated solutions of lithium bromide, stored in containers supplied by Tazzetti Fluids or belonging to clients themselves.
• Rental of Tazzetti Fluids pressure containers in a variety of sizes for the storage and subsequent on-site recycling of refrigerant fluids.
• Analysis of halogenated refrigerant fluids in compliance with ARI 700/2004 specifications performed on-site or at the Tazzetti Fluids authorised treatment centre.

These services are generally intended for all businesses working on a national or EU scale in the following areas:

• The collection and storage of special and/or hazardous waste
• The treatment and/or disposal of special and/or hazardous waste
• The reclamation of contaminated sites or abandoned areas
• Environmental consulting studies and services.

Depending on the size and type of job, Tazzetti Fluids either carries out the above services directly or through its proprietary network of authorised collection centres, to provide the best suited solution to the individual needs of the client.

Tazzetti Fluids recovers, collects and treats refrigerant waste in compliance with applicable legislation concerning the handling of special and hazardous halogenated refrigerant waste.

The most important such legislation currently in force is as follows:

• National Programme Agreement drawn up by the Ministry for the Environment and the Ministry of Production in accordance with the prescriptions of Laws 549/93 and 179/97, and the Ministerial Decree dated October 3rd, 2001.
• Law Decree No. 22 dated 05/02/97 and subsequent amendments.
• European regulation 259/93 and subsequent amendments

Tazzetti Fluids is authorised by Permit No. 007715 dated 20/1/2005, issued by the Province of Alessandria to regenerate and/or dispose of refrigerant waste.
