Tazzetti Fluids gives Italian dealers and vendors of refrigerant fluids access to a dedicated service for the recovery, collection and treatment of refrigerant waste, specifically tailored to the needs of the users and their client base.
Tazzetti Fluids, either directly or through its authorised collection centres located in all Italy, established in accordance with the National Programme Agreement drawn up with the Ministry for the Environment and the Ministry of the Production, also offers a micro-collection service for exhausted refrigerants, with containers collected directly from the initial waste producer, organised as follows:
- In response to a dealer’s request intending to use the
Tazzetti Fluids services, empty and reclaimed containers are sent to:
- the dealer purchasing the services directly
- the maintenance or installation service provider intending to use the above mentioned services through its respective area dealer
- the local unit where the refrigerant fluid recovery process (transfer, emptying from a AC/R) and subsequent transformation into waste will take place.
- Following the storage of the waste and the dealer’s request for its collection, it is transferred from the local production unit:
- directly to the Tazzetti Fluids in-house authorised collection and treatment centre
- to the nearest authorised collection centre, from which, in accordance with a transport schedule, it is then transferred to the Tazzetti Fluids authorised collection and treatment centre.
- All incoming waste is analysed for identification and then sorted for regeneration or disposal in accordance with acceptance parameters defined by ARI/2004 specifications.
The above procedure is carried out in the following instances:
- For the decommissioning of air conditioning/refrigeration systems at end-of-life or to prepare systems for conversion to a new, eco-compatible refrigerant fluid
- For the handling of refrigerant waste during programmed or extraordinary maintenance on air conditioning /refrigeration systems or residue from previous refrigerants delivery.
The above services entail the use of:
- Specific pressure containers that are regularly tested and certified by I.S.P.E.S.L.
- Carriers authorised for transport hazardous waste and in possession of an A.D.R. license.
Containers belonging to the dealer or installation/maintenance service provider may also be used, providing that they comply with applicable legislation for the transport of hazardous materials by road (ADR directive).
To support the above procedures, Tazzetti Fluids also offers its clients a consulting service, using its specialised skills to help resolve technical problems related to the recovery and storage of refrigerant waste, and a legal-legislative consulting service, to help correctly compile the documentation involved in handling hazardous waste.
